General Information

Chrysalis provides individual legal advice to women on family law, GLBT issues, child protection issues and employment law at Law Clinics. Also legal information sessions for the public on family law and GLBT issues. Attorney referrals available for other legal issues. To register for Family Law Clinics in Spanish call 612-870-2435 or 612-870-2449. Chrysalis also provides limited legal services and pro bono representation for family law issues.   Law Clinic is for women only and phone intake is required. Child Custody & Support Legal Information Session is open to public; no intake required except to determine eligibility for free service. Interpreters can be provided for: Low-income victims of domestic violence, as resources permit. Women can register for Family Law Clinic in Spanish by calling 612-870-2449.

Law Clinic is $20; $15 if prepay; free if meet low-income requirements. Child Custody & Support Legal Information Session is $20; free if meet low-income requirements. Call to determine income eligibility.

This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources:
 
  Brief Advice
  Pro Se Legal Clinic
  Self-Help Materials
  Other- (1) Child Custody & Support Legal Information Session is open to public. $20; free if meet low-income requirements. Call for schedule or see www.chrysaliswomen.org (2) Referrals to private attorneys. Child care based on space available, at Minneapolis site only. Pre-registration required. $5 per visit per child. No one turned away due to lack of funds. Call 612-870-2432.
