Bridges to Safety
The mission of the Partnership for Domestic Abuse Services is to create a comprehensive, centrally located Domestic Abuse Service Center in the City of St. Paul;
Where victims, including children, will have access to protection, culturally relevant services and support from the criminal and civil justice system, advocacy, legal aid and social services providers; and
Through which victims will experience respect, safety, and security, and perpetrators will be held accountable for their actions to the highest degree possible; and
Will link and leverage the myriad of services available for adult and child victims of domestic violence, increase provider capacity, and close existing gaps in service.
Services provided at Bridges to Safety:
- Crisis intervention, personal advocacy, and legal advocacy (Asian Women United of Minnesota, Casa de Esperanza, OutFront Minnesota, St. Paul Intervention Project, Tubman, Women's Advocates, and Women of Nations)
- Legal consultation and representation (Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services and Tubman)
- Law enforcement investigation and prosecution of offenders (Ramsey County Attorney's Office, Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, St. Paul City Attorney's Office, St. Paul Police Department, and White Bear Lake Police Department)
- Order for Protection writing/filing (Ramsey County Domestic Abuse and Harassment Office)
- Supervised play for children ages 1-12 while the parent or guardian is on site receiving services (Children's Room)
- Access to safe child visitation services (Children's Safety Centers)
- Information and intake for counseling services and support groups. (Wilder Violence Prevention and Intervention Services)
- Referral to shelter, permanent and transitional housing, employment, personal counseling, and other community partners
