I bought a car from a private seller and it started acting funny. Isn't there a 3-day "cooling off" law where I can return the car and get my money back?

Minnesota law does not provide a “cooling off” period for vehicle purchases. Once the car is purchased, it usually cannot be returned.
Minnesota does have a Used Car Warranty Law, but it does not apply to cars purchased from a private seller or to vehicles sold “as is.”
Minnesota also has a Lemon Law (Motor Vehicle Warranty Statute), which only applies to new vehicles or used vehicles still covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty.
You can find more information about both of these laws through the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office.
