Children's Law Center of Minnesota

Children's Law Center of Minnesota (CLC) provides free legal advice, brief services, and full representation to foster care youth as appointed by the court in child protection cases. We work with youth ages 10-21.

We primarily work in Hennepin and Ramsey counties. We sometimes accept cases in the 8-county metro area and beyond, depending on staff and volunteer bandwidth. To see what kinds of cases we usually help with, please click on the Legal Topics tab.

Application Process

To apply for representation, call (651) 644-4438. Most cases we receive are by referral from the court, county attorney's office, or guardian ad litem.
